Norwood Together began in 2017 with a small group of residents who wanted to make a positive change in our community. They started by asking other residents and stakeholders what they wanted for Norwood. In 2017, with the help of LISC Greater Cincinnati, the group that would become Norwood Together completed a Quality of Life Assessment, surveying more than 70 people about our city’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The Norwood Community Agreement, a 10-year vision for the city, was created from those surveys, and the agreement continues to guide our work.
In 2020, Norwood Together became a 501c3 non-profit organization with a strategic plan and a Board of Directors. We have raised more than $50,000 in individual donations and grant funding and established partnerships with organizations, businesses, and key community leaders.
Norwood Together volunteers have delivered hundreds of welcome bags to new residents to connect newcomers to events, information, organizations and more in Norwood, organized “street sweeps” of Montgomery Road, the city’s main business corridor, and cleaned up our parks.
Working together gets things done.
