Friday Community Porch Parties start March 27

The ongoing situation with Covid-19 has canceled community gatherings. But we still can be together apart!

Starting Friday, March 27, Norwood Together invites you to take part in a weekly Community Porch Party every Friday at 5 p.m. We can’t gather together, but we can all gather separately, wave across streets and see some smiling faces. It’s a way to be neighborly and still maintain the recommended six feet of social distance. Feel free to start this week, if you want, (we know some people on Cameron and Hopkins avenues plan to!) and share your pictures on Facebook

We also encourage you to clean up your own yards and neighborhoods while we’re waiting for the all-clear to reschedule the Norwood Clean-Up Week.

The Health Department still has yard waste bags available for free. Just knock on the door of the Health Department during regular hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. When you’re out for a walk, bring along a trash bag and pick up any litter you see.

And let us share all the good work you’re doing! Snap a picture of your litter walk or cleaned up yard and post it on the Norwood Together Facebook page
