You raised more than $2,500 in the fall of 2019 to improve Norwood’s section of Wasson Way and encourage residents to use the walking/biking trail that runs through the south end of our city. Working with Wasson Way and listening to residents’ requests, we used your generous contributions to purchase trash cans and dog waste stations for the trail.

You can donate to help create a new resident-designed, funded and created pocket park at the corner of Floral and Hudson avenues.
Jon Moore is spearheading this neighborhood plan, which has city approval. Already, residents have pledged $1,300, but another $1,300 is needed for pavers, dirt, a trash can and a bench. You can donate through Norwood Together — just follow that link and be sure to make a note that your donation is for the Floral-Hudson Pocket Park.
The ongoing situation with Covid-19 has canceled community gatherings. But we still can be together apart!
Starting Friday, March 27, Norwood Together invites you to take part in a weekly Community Porch Party every Friday at 5 p.m. We can’t gather together, but we can all gather separately, wave across streets and see some smiling faces. It’s a way to be neighborly and still maintain the recommended six feet of social distance. Feel free to start this week, if you want, (we know some people on Cameron and Hopkins avenues plan to!) and share your pictures on Facebook.
We also encourage you to clean up your own yards and neighborhoods while we’re waiting for the all-clear to reschedule the Norwood Clean-Up Week.
The Health Department still has yard waste bags available for free. Just knock on the door of the Health Department during regular hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. When you’re out for a walk, bring along a trash bag and pick up any litter you see.

Because of the ongoing response to COVID-19, we are postponing Norwood Clean-Up Week, originally scheduled for April 18-25. We are following the lead of city and state officials, as well as one of our main sponsors for the event, Keep Cincinnati Beautiful, which has canceled events through May.
We also have postponed the Progressive Dinner.
We do not have new dates set for the Progressive Dinner or Norwood Clean-Up Week, but will let you know as soon as we do.

Norwood Together is organizing the second annual Norwood Clean-Up Week, April 18 through 25.
Hundreds of volunteers collected dozens of bags of trash from Montgomery Road and our city’s parks during last year’s Clean-Up Week. Together, we planted flowers and improved the parks thanks to donations from the Gem of The Highlands 5K and the American Legion.
This year, Norwood Clean-Up week will kick off April 18 with a volunteer litter patrol along Montgomery Road. Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. at City Hall.
The week will end with a clean-up of the city’s parks on April 25. Efforts will again be supported by Keep Cincinnati Beautiful.
During the week, we’ll encourage each other to tidy up our own yards, sidewalks and neighborhoods, and we’ll gather for a Wasson Way Wednesday clean-up.
